For me, yoga is about connecting to all the parts of yourself and to everything around you; your body, mind, spirit all connected to the breath. And letting that connection expand to everyone and everything.
I love how it gives me a feeling of spaciousness, first in my body, then in my head and in my heart. If I come into a class mad or frustrated, I usually leave with a different perspective on the situation. Yoga creates space between action and reaction. The breath creates the space to allow a conscious response rather than an automatic reaction. And the body, heart and mind work together in harmony.
We feel connected to our hearts and it softens us. I love that!
